STADTRADELN - for a better environment!

Whether in your free time, on your way to work or while shopping - on sunny days you'll gladly go back to your bicycle. Especially the Corona situation has shown us that the bicycle is a simple, environmentally friendly and healthy way to get around, which is also a lot of fun. Therefore, we would like to draw your attention to the STADTRADELN project.

Hückeswagen will participate at this project from September 4 to September 24, 2022, thus enabling us as individuals to participate in the STADTRADELN as well.

This challenge is taken up by some of our colleagues and we support and endorse this project. 

You are asking yourself what exactly the STADTRADELN project involves?

STADTRADELN is about making as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way by bicycle for 21 days. It doesn't matter if you already bicycle every day or if you rarely do so. Every kilometer counts - especially if you would otherwise have traveled it by car. In order for more people to permanently switch from car to bicycle, an infrastructure is needed that allows  to reach the destination quickly and safely. With the results of the STADTRADELNs, Hückeswagen can expand and optimize this. In this way, you not only set an example for climate protection, but also contribute to improving the infrastructure.

The cycled kilometers can be determined or estimated with an odometer, bike computer, the STADTRADELN app or a route planner, for example. Afterwards, these are entered online. This works both via the STADTRADELN app and website.
