Children's Village: Our contribution to making children's eyes light up
We are delighted to have made a very special contribution this year: From August 4 to 15, 2025, the popular Children's Village took place again in Hückeswagen - a vacation highlight for children aged 6 to 12. The project is lovingly organized every year by the youth center.
By covering all the costs, we were able to enable three children to take part in the children's village, which is very important to us.
What is the Hückeswagen Children's Village?
The Children's Village is a lovingly organized project of the Hückeswagen Youth Centre that takes place during the summer vacations. All children from Hückeswagen and the Oberberg district have the opportunity to immerse themselves in their own little “town” for two weeks, in which they can decide for themselves, help shape and playfully recreate the lives of adults. Only the framework conditions, such as the daily routine, are predetermined.
What exactly does that mean?
The children take command and are allowed to take on a wide variety of roles in their “town”. The children are free to decide whether they want to run for mayor or whether they want to focus on manual trades. There are 16 workshops on offer. The children can then spend the money called “JuZe-Taler” they earn or in the leisure areas, such as in the bakery or the travel agency. They learn responsibility, teamwork, independence and social interaction in a playful way.
Why we support the Children's Village
As a company, it is important to us not only to grow economically, but also to take on social responsibility. Children are our future and we want to give them the chance to gain valuable experience, make new friends and simply have an unforgettable time, which is why we have decided to cover the costs for three children.
